Wildlight pulled Highguard and shut it down on March 12, 2026 — just 45 days after its Jan 26 launch. The free-to-play shooter from ex-Apex/Titanfall devs spiked early, triggered mass layoffs two weeks in, then lost players fast. Another casualty of the live-service race.
